Web Host Weserve B.V. Chooses Cloud Software Provider Flexiant for Cloud Platform
Dutch web host Weserve B.V. has chosen cloud software provider Flexiant to establish a new cloud platform. The platform will replace the company’s existing platform. Flexiant’s IaaS cloud orchestration solution was chosen for its ability to meet Weserve’s “multi-datacenter requirements” and cater for its extensive Netherlands-based customer and reseller base. Weserve’s customers have now been fully migrated to the new platform.
Established in 2003, Weserve B.V. offers a range of services such as web hosting, dedicated servers, collocation, VPS servers, online backup, spam filtering and domain registration. The company owns and manages a datacenter in Dronten, Netherlands. Flexiant offers cloud management software solutions geared towards service providers. Its “Professional Services” team worked with Weserve to ensure the platform was available in a matter of days.
“It was important for us to manage our two datacenters in the Netherlands from one platform,” explained Weserve’s Managing Director, Robert Nijhof. “After disappointment from our existing vendor, we evaluated Flexiant, OpenStack and CloudStack. Flexiant was able to meet our requirements so that we could support now, and expand in the future, our current cloud offering based on VPS with more capabilities and differentiated services.”
