Security and Intelligence Provider Falanx Listed on UK Government's G-Cloud Framework
Security and intelligence provider Falanx has been listed on the UK government's G-Cloud Framework. The company, which has headquarters in London, offers a range of services under three divisions: Falanx Intelligence, which provides security risk and business intelligence services, Falanx Resilience, which provides security consultancy, crisis management, and asset and facility security, and Falanx Cyber, which offers the company's Falanx Assuria cyber security solutions. Being listed on G-Cloud means its Assuria cyber defence unit is now able to engage UK government clients. The company's shares went up 1.5% when the market received news of the deal. G-Cloud is a UK government scheme designed to make IT cheaper to manage by giving the UK's public sector access to recognized cloud infrastructure providers. Services acquired through G-Cloud are paid for on a 'as used' basis rather than long-term contracts. Around 1,200 suppliers and 13,000 different cloud service models are available through the scheme. From February 2, 2015 Falanx's services will be available through the G-Cloud digital marketplace platform. "The group's entry to the G-Cloud framework is a significant milestone for the Falanx Cyber defence business, opening a very exciting route into a rapidly growing UK government cyber market. We look forward to being an integral part of this transition," explained John Blamire, the CEO of Falanx. What other government-driven cloud schemes are available to providers?
