Panda Cloud Office Protection Enhanced to Include Protection for Mac Workstations and Servers

The latest version of Panda Security's Panda Cloud Office Protection (version 6.8) has been enhanced to include protection for Mac workstations and servers. The enhancement means that the solution now provides protection for Windows, Linux and Mac for Windows, Mac and Linux PCs, Exchange servers.

Established in 1990, Panda Security provides cloud-based security solutions to a global customer base of millions of users in 195 countries. The company has 56 offices worldwide and US headquarters in Florida. Its "Collective Intelligence" technology automatically analyzes and classifies malware samples on a daily basis to provide protection against Internet threats with "minimum impact on system performance".

Mac protection is managed from a web-based interface in same fashion protection for Windows and Linux computers is managed. Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, Mac OS X 10.7 Lion, Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion and Mac OSX 10.9 Mavericks are all covered by the solution's enhancement.

Alongside protecting Mac devices, the solution's other new features include on-demand scans and the ability to scan any type of file. The solution also offers URL filtering for servers.
