National Foods Limited Migrates SAP to Cloud Computing Provider RapidCompute
Pakistan-based National Foods Limited (National Foods), a certified vendor of McCormick, USA, has migrated its SAP to cloud computing provider RapidCompute. RapidCompute, the cloud computing division of Cybernet, was established in 2012. Its is the largest cloud operator in Pakistan and owns and operates three ISO 27001:2013 certified data centers in the Punjab and Sindh regions of the country. Alongside cloud hosting, RapidCompute will provide National Foods with a range of services, including cloud-based disaster recovery. Working with RapidCompute, National Foods established a plan that moved its entire SAP landscape in a series of stages. At each stage the system was tested by RapidCompute engineers, while National Foods established "proof of concepts for database replication, high availability and disaster recovery scenarios". "We have a long standing relationship with Cybernet as our MPLS connectivity provider," explained National Foods' General Manager IT, Syed Zeeshan Ali. "With RapidCompute, we were able to migrate our mission critical workload to the cloud and to increase security and reliability for our end users."
