Managed Services Provider Datapipe Launches Datapipe Cloud Analytics for Amazon Web Services
Managed services provider Datapipe has announced the launch of Datapipe Cloud Analytics for Amazon Web Services (AWS). The company, whose headquarters are in Jersey City, New Jersey, offers a range of services including private and public cloud, HIPAA, PCI compliance, storage, disaster recovery and migration solutions. It has data centers in the United States, Hong Kong, Iceland, China and Singapore. Datapipe’s new solution leverages data-mining and intelligence functions to analyze AWS usage patterns within a company. This enables executives to make better decisions regarding cost management as the AWS public cloud is utilized more throughout an organization. It also allows them to act on issues that might impact cloud deployments. The solution features “Cost Dashboards” that provide real-time data on expenditure. Datapipe Cloud Analytics service is underpinned by a Big Data Engine that provides a secure API which connects to AWS accounts. It collects data and provides statements for cost and billing, and also provides recommendations on optimizing cloud usage and lowering expenses. The solution also leverages AWS DR best practices to provide baseline disaster recovery (DR) information and recommend AWS features to “reach optimal availability”. It features robust security, identifying security group configurations statuses and providing alerts when vulnerabilities occur. “We’ve reached a tipping point in the industry and traditional service management tools are no longer enough to enable IT operators to optimize all of their AWS services in a cost-effective and scalable manner,” explained Datapipe’s CEO, Robb Allen. “By combining the Datapipe Cloud Analytics platform with our industry-leading managed services, we’re helping our customers tackle the operational and governance challenges of successfully managing their public cloud deployments.” Do you know of any other companies offering analytics solutions?
