Information Technology Solutions Provider ASG Group to Help Australian Maritime Safety Authority Migrate to the Cloud

Information technology solutions provider ASG Group has been chosen to help the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) migrate to the cloud. The company, with headquarters in Perth, Western Australia, specializes in solving business issues for medium to large-scale enterprises. The AMSA contract is worth AU$17.5 million (US$16.24 million) over a five-year period. An additional three-year option is available to the company.

ASG Group will migrate AMSA's in-house IT operations to a fully fledged cloud-based platform which will harness the Australian federal government's hosting platform and managed services. The transition will offer AMSA better control of IT expenses and allow it to scale services as required without incurring unnecessary cost through purchasing unused resources.

ASG Group is no stranger to contracts with Australian government departments. In July 2013 the company won a $11.3 million contract from the Western Australia Department of Housing. According to the company, their contract with AMSA will make a major contribution to its 2015 financial year.
