Hostpoint Simplifies Email Transfer
For many, the prospect of moving email accounts to a new email or web hosting provider is a daunting prospect. The process requires both technical insight into the transition process and a considerable investment in time. With that in mind, Swiss web hosting and domain provider Hostpoint has simplified the process for new customers with an email migration service that allows emails to be transferred automatically.
Working with German cloud services provider audriga, Hostpoint’s new cloud based service can transfer any number of email accounts and any number of emails effortlessly, regardless of how complex folder structures might be. Folders and emails are transferred “as they existed at the source account”. Being cloud based, the new service does not require a user to download additional software and can be applied to any IMAP or POP3 protocols. During transfer emails are SSL encrypted to ensure security.
“The automated email migration service enables our clients to transfer their emails easily and without manual effort,” suggested Hostpoint’s Chief Customer Officer, Yvan Knapp. He added, “This migration service is another part of our aspiration to deliver the best webhosting services in Switzerland”.
New Hostpoint customers can move up to up to five email accounts free of charge while additional accounts are transferred at a cost of CHF 12 ($12.60) per account. Existing Hostpoint customers are able to access the new service through their Hostpoint Control Panel.
