DaaS Platform Provider IndependenceIT Enters into Licensing Agreement with Online Business Solutions Provider Verio

Desktop-as-as-Service (DaaS) platform provider IndependenceIT has entered into a licensing agreement with online business solutions provider Verio. The arrangement was announced at the Microsoft Hosting Summit currently taking place in Bellevue, Washington, USA.

Verio, an NTT Communications company, will utilize IndependenceIT’s Cloud Workspace Suite to offer subscription-based DaaS options charged on a monthly basis. The Cloud Workspace Suite enables businesses to leverage cloud-based collaboration and productivity tools that offer access to business applications and corporate file systems using a range of devices and from any location. The system offers around 600 business applications in total.

“We’re excited about our partnership with Verio and to serve as the foundation for service-enabled applications to support their growing customer base,” explained IndependenceIT’s CEO Seth Bostock. “Like us, Verio is strategically focused on delivering business solutions to SMBs, and this new offering will make access to mission critical applications easier to acquire, provision and manage than ever before.”

“IndependenceIT’s Cloud Workspace provides a powerful and extensible Desktop-as-a-service platform for delivery of applications and full-featured desktop solutions,” added Verio’s President and CEO Hideyuki Yamasawa. “Cloud Workspace’s API will allow us to deliver strategic business solutions as a service, seamlessly integrated with our advanced management system and existing service portfolio.”
