Communications operator and integrator Orange Business Services has formed a partnership with Google. The company, which was established in 2006, is a global IT and communications services provider that helps businesses to “collaborate, operate and engage with customers”. Its partnership with Google will see the company extend its enterprise cloud choice through the Google Cloud Platform and the interconnection of Google Cloud Interconnect with the Orange Business Services secured cloud hub (known as “Business VPN Galerie”).

Established in 2011, Business VPN Galerie was developed to address demand for “secure access to Internet-based cloud and web services” from multinational companies. The solution provides “a secure, high-performance and managed network with a single and trusted partner” that enables companies to access Google Cloud Platform data centers in North America, Europe and Asia. This offers “higher availability and lower latency connections” without needing to utilize the public Internet.

“Business VPN Galerie is part of our Hybrid Network strategy designed to help enterprises cope with the predicted tripling of global IP traffic between 2014 and 2018. Orange Business VPN Galerie has become a premier choice for enterprises that are moving workloads to the cloud,” explained the Vice President, Networks, Orange Business Services, Pierre-Louis Biaggi. “Today more than 1,300 enterprises and more than 20 cloud partners – including Orange Cloud for Business, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Express Route, Salesforce, AWS, Ingenico, Cegid – trust us at over 33,000 sites around the world.”
