Cloud-enabled Hosting Provider NaviSite Launches Services that Enable Businesses to Enter the Cloud More Easily
Cloud-enabled hosting provider NaviSite Inc. (NaviSite) has announced the launch of services that enable businesses to enter the cloud more easily. The company, an arm of Time Warner Cable Company, was established in 1996 and has headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware, United States. It specializes in offering hosting, managed applications and other cloud services to companies that wish to outsource IT requirements, focus on their core competencies, and reduce investment and other costs. The company owns and manages a number of data centers globally and offers a firm focus VMware solutions. Migration to the cloud can be a troublesome experience for many companies. NaviSite’s new services simplify “cloud onboarding” and include Self-Service Onboarding, Guided Cloud Onboarding, and Managed Cloud Migration options. Each service helps businesses “move to the cloud with confidence and ease” and together they offer companies the means to establish a “comprehensive migration plan” for migration to NaviSite’s VMware Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) powered ‘NaviCloud Director’ platform. The new services will be on show at VMworld 2015, which takes place in the United States between August 30 and September 3, 2015. “More and more businesses are starting to look towards the cloud as a way to manage complex IT workloads and also reduce the time and cost spent on infrastructure management,” explained Navisite’s Senior Director, Product Management, Chris Patterson. “The migration from a physical to virtual environment can be challenging and if done incorrectly can become an overwhelming and costly process. Our new onboarding services are designed with the purpose of helping our clients to seamlessly migrate to the NaviCloud platform and to take full advantage of all our support offerings to optimize their cloud experience.” Do you know of any other companies offering cloud migration services for business?
