Cloud Services Platform Provider Interoute Offers Dedicated NetApp Cloud Storage Solution through European Cloud

Cloud services platform provider Interoute Communications Ltd. is offering a dedicated NetApp cloud storage solution through its European cloud - Europe’s largest cloud services platform. The company has extended its Interoute Scalable Storage (ISS) service to include on demand dedicated NetApp Storage Virtual Machines (SVM).

Integrating NetApp Storage Virtual Machines (SVM) into Interoute's Virtual Data Centre (VDC) enables Interoute's customers to safely extend storage capability into the company's cloud infrastructure. Its ISS Dedicated NetApp SVM uses Interoute’s unified connectivity MPLS service to provide connectivity to over 150 locations in Europe, and offers application storage and data storage management based on utility billing. The service facilitates and scaling of NetApp storage through the company's Virtual Data Center.

ISS offers the benefit of data ownership and control staying in the customer's hands. It enables customers to choose exactly where data is stored (providing a choice of cities). Interoute has five Virtual Data Centre Zones - located in Amsterdam, Berlin, Geneva, London and Paris - which are connected to Interoute’s pan European Cloud platform by high capacity fiber optic network. This allows customers to select any data center (or all data centers) as a NetApp dedicated storage location and manage European data regulations compliance.

"We’ve experienced growing demand for NetApp storage delivered as a Cloud service and Interoute Virtual Data Centre is an excellent platform for our customers to provision NetApp storage in the Cloud," explained Interoute's NetApp Cloud Solutions Manager EMEA, Tim Waldron.

ISS is available at Interoute's online application and appliance marketplace, CloudStore and is integrated with Interoute’s Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) Virtual Data Center. NetApp cloud storage is deployed as either a private or public cloud. Interoute’s customers can create geographically dispersed back-up and disaster recovery solutions by moving data between NetApp storage units in different Virtual Data Centers via the company's network.
