Cloud IT Services and Business Applications Provider Intermedia Announces Growth Strategy
Cloud IT services and business applications provider Intermedia has announced a new growth strategy which focuses on Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). The company, whose services include hosted Microsoft Exchange, will focus on channel recruitment to make the proposed strategy a reality. Intermedia will look to resellers and managed service providers to drive EMEA growth and the company will embark on a channel recruitment campaign that begins in the United Kingdom. Intermedia’s Partner Programme channel partners sell under their own brands and are responsible for all aspects of their businesses. The company offers partners a range of support including product promotions and technical support alongside a “Partner Portal” which allows partners to manage customer accounts. Aside from reselling Intermedia's services, companies can also get commissions from recommendations that lead to sales. The company’s announcement comes in the wake of its recent acquisition of SaaSID, an SSO solution that “minimizes the risk of unauthorized access to sensitive data”. The purchase allows Intermedia to offer companies “a single point of control over all their cloud services, regardless of provider”. The news also comes after the company has introduced new products that include email archiving and McAfee email defence. "This is an exciting time for the channel,” explained Intermedia’s Managing Director EMEA, Ed Macnair. “The Cloud Industry Forum reports that nearly half of all UK businesses are already using cloud services and eighty per cent of those plan to increase cloud service consumption in 2014. At the same time, Intermedia is announcing industry-leading cloud services that will give partners a real edge. Having worked closely with the channel in my previous roles, I am looking forward to reconnecting with the well-known names and developing fresh partnerships in this region. We are committed to expanding our business in EMEA and have a target to grow our regional business by three hundred per cent this year."
