Cloud Infrastructure Services Provider Lunacloud Attends HostingCon 2014
Cloud infrastructure services provider Lunacloud attended HostingCon 2014 yesterday. The event, which takes place 16-18 June 2014, in Miami Beach, Florida, featured António Ferreira, the CEO of Lunacloud. Mr. Ferreira took part in a panel discussion alongside representatives of domestic and international providers who covered a range of issues pertinent to the hosting industry.
Taking place at the Miami Beach Convention Center, HostingCon is an annual event and recognized as the hosting industry’s leading get together. HostingCon 2014 is the event’s tenth anniversary and will feature the “best and brightest from the industry”. It offers the “latest news, ideas and technology” affecting web hosting and cloud hosting. Issues covered in the discussion Mr. Ferreira participated in included demand for specific technologies in various markets and data privacy and sovereignty issues as they are impacted by regulation in specific regions. Issues related to expansion across borders by global industry players were also explored.
Lunacloud was established in 2011 and provides a true “pay-as-you-go” cloud infrastructure. The company offers a range of services including Infrastructure-as-as Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) services. The company also offers cloud Jelastic services, cloud servers, and cloud storage. It has a presence in Russia, Spain, France, Portugal and the United Kingdom with support in local languages. The company intends to extend its footprint to “non-European” countries in 2014.
