Cloud hosting and related services provider eApps Hosting is now offering improved Enterprise Email Services with Zimbra Collaboration Suite 8.0.2 - a VMware productivity solution marketed as a Microsoft Exchange alternative which provides full email, calendar and collaboration options.
Zimbra is noted for minimal administration and version 8.0.2 of the solution is faster than previous versions. Version 8.0.2 offers a range of enhanced features. These include the system's browser-based interface which has increased usability and improved searching options. In addition, Zimbra's improved calendar management offers distribution lists and calendar and contact integration with CardDAV and CalDAV functions. 8.0.2 also offers improved global address lists (GAL) synchronization.
One important feature the Zimbra solution offers (free of charge) is synchronization of email, calendar, contacts, and tasks with iPhone, Android, and Windows devices. In addition, Zimbra email accounts leverage SpamExperts' spam and virus filtering services to ensure that inboxes remain spam and virus free. Business-type users also benefit from message archiving options that are again available free of charge.
