Cloud Awards Names CloudPassage in Security Innovation of the Year Awards
The Cloud Awards have endorsed CloudPassage by naming the company in the Security Innovation of the Year Awards for 2013-2014. With headquarters in San Francisco, the cloud provider caters to a range of industry players and is backed by leading investors and venture capitalists. The company was noted for its Halo product - a security and compliance platform for elastic cloud environments which focuses on security and compliance. Halo offers a patented architecture that operates across data center, public cloud, and hardware infrastructures. Established in 2011, the Cloud Awards program recognizes “industry leaders, innovators and organizational transformation” in cloud computing. A panel of international industry experts consider companies of a range of sizes from around the world in categories that include the “Software as a Service award”, “Most Promising Start-Up award”, and "Best in Mobile Cloud Solution award”. Around 200 organizations from regions like Europe, the US and the Middle East were considered for the awards. "Enterprises are adopting cloud computing at an incredible pace, but security and compliance still represent huge obstacles,” explained CloudPassage’s CEO, Carson Sweet. “Traditional solutions are designed with legacy perimeter models and don't work for the ephemeral nature of the cloud -- placing significant burdens on security and operations teams. We employ a solution that automates and integrates security into dynamic cloud environments, removing the burden for security teams and providing greater visibility for compliance professionals."
